Julio Héctor Simón, also known as Turco Julián, is a former Argentinian police officer born on August 12, 1940. He gained notoriety for his role as a torturer during Argentina's National Reorganization Process. His case drew attention due to his brutal methods and Nazi sympathies. After being pardoned by President Carlos Menem, he made television appearances and interacted with former victims. In 2006, his case gained further significance as it was the first to be addressed by the Supreme Court of Argentina, resulting in the revocation of his pardon.
