Juma Inad (جمعة عناد سعدون خطاب الجبوري), born in 1956 in Al-Sharqat, Salah al-Din province, specifically in the village of Al-Iitha, has held significant military positions in Iraq. He became the Commander of Ground Forces in early 2019 and previously served as the Commander of Salah al-Din Operations and the Chief of Police of Salah al-Din province in 2013. On May 7, 2020, he was appointed Minister of Defense by the Iraqi Parliament in Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's government. He survived an assassination attempt in 2013.
