Junko Inazawa (born October 5, 1940) is a Japanese novelist from Shizuoka Prefecture. Born as Junko Iwata, she graduated from Nagoya University after attending Ochanomizu University. In 1969, she began her writing career with the publication of 'Nisoku-me no Kutsu' in 'Minshu Bungaku'. She has written many novels, including 'Chinetu' which received the Takiji & Yuriko Prize in 1987. Inazawa is also known for her reportage works focusing on the 1981 Yubari coal mine incident and issues surrounding disabled individuals.
