Jürgen Dönges, also known as Jean-Pierre Valance, was a German schlager composer born in May 1956. He worked as a lyricist and composer for various notable artists, including Wolfgang Petry and Jürgen Drews. His only release under his name was 'Ich bin ein deutsches Kindchen' in 1981. Dönges penned popular songs such as 'Irgendwann, irgendwo, irgendwie' and 'Verlieben, verloren, vergessen, verzeih’n.' He was awarded multiple gold and platinum records for his contributions to music and tragically took his own life in April 2012.
