Jussi Erkki Asu is a Finnish singer, composer, and songwriter, born on November 13, 1953. He is also a press photographer and journalist, known for his song 'Kirjeen sulle kirjootan'. In 2017, he was awarded the title of master folk singer in Kaustinen. His song won the inaugural Yle TV2 song competition at the Ilmajoki Music Festival in 1980, performed by Eero Piirto from Kurikka.
