Jussi Jäppinen, born on May 25, 1948, in Joutseno, is a Finnish PhD, graphic designer, non-fiction author, photographer, and researcher. He worked as an exhibition secretary in the mid-1970s and served as a non-fiction editor for Gummerus from 1977 to 1984. Since 1984, he has operated his own graphic design office. Jäppinen has published around forty pictorial works mainly about Central Finland, authored nearly 30 non-fiction books related to architecture and cultural environments, and contributed to various design projects in Finnish museums.
