Jutta Geß is a German ceramicist and craftswoman born on January 12, 1955, in Memmingen. She trained as a psychiatric nurse from 1974 to 1977 and worked in psychotherapeutic clinics until 1980. Geß learned pottery from Markus Meerson between 1980 and 1983 at Weininger Keramik in Switzerland. After completing her apprenticeship, she worked at Fuchs-Töpferei until 1985. Since then, she has operated her own workshop in Bad Karlshafen with her husband and teaches ceramic art at the local adult education center, specializing in stoneware pottery.
