Jūzō Mori was a notable torpedo bomber pilot in the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. He flew the Nakajima B5N torpedo bomber from the carrier Sōryū during key battles including the Attack on Pearl Harbor, the Indian Ocean Raid, and the Battle of Midway. Notably, he released the torpedo that sank the battleship California during the Attack on Pearl Harbor. Mori was shot down and lost his right hand during the Solomon Islands Campaign while operating from the carrier Jun'yō but survived and was evacuated to Japan.
