He served as a member of the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha, representing the Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar constituency in Uttarakhand. A member of the Indian National Congress party, he continues to contribute to Indian politics. Singh Baba is a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Nainital, and he currently resides in Kashipur Fort, Kashipur.
