K. Thayat, born Thayat Kunjananthan on February 17, 1927, was a prominent Indian writer known for his contributions to children's literature and plays in the Malayalam language. Over his lifetime, he authored 42 books and more than a hundred radio plays. In addition to his writing career, he worked as a school teacher and received numerous accolades for his literary work and teaching excellence before passing away on December 4, 2011.
