Kadriye Partici (April 1, 1947 – July 25, 1971) was the last woman to be hanged in Turkey. She and her brother attempted to rob Aysel Malseven of her jewelry, which included a gold necklace and bracelets. After forcing Malseven to drink insecticide, her brother killed her with a knife. Partici was sentenced to death on May 13, 1969, and the sentence was confirmed by the Court of Appeals on December 18, 1969, subsequently executed after parliamentary approval in relation to the 1971 military coup.
