Kailasa Venkata Ramiah (1926-1994) was a prominent educationist from Andhra Pradesh, India. He excelled academically, earning top honors in B.Sc and M.Sc at Osmania University, where he became head of the Physics Department. His research focused on quantum mechanics and the Raman effect, leading to around 100 published papers. Ramiah was the first Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University and significantly contributed to its establishment. He was also the first member from Telangana in the Union Public Service Commission and served as chairman multiple times. His impactful work in education left a lasting legacy.
