General Edward Kalekezi Kayihura, commonly known as Kale Kayihura, is a prominent Ugandan lawyer and military General. He served as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the top position in the Uganda Police Force, from 2005 to March 5, 2018. His tenure ended with an unexpected reshuffle which introduced new leadership, including the appointment of Martin Okoth Ochola as his successor. Kayihura has a background in farming and is known for his significant role in Uganda's law enforcement.
