Kalmer Tennosaar (1928-2004) was a prominent Estonian singer and journalist known for his work in the Soviet era. He gained popularity as a soloist with the Popular Music Orchestra and as a children's show host on ETV. He started as a presenter in 1956 and worked as an editor for music programs. Tennosaar was also a father to two daughters, including actress Liina Tennosaar, and was married to actress Sirje Arbi for 14 years.
