Known as a 'writer's writer', he is famously recognized for his novel 'Antorjoli Jatra', noted for its unique narrative style and linguistic finesse. Rejecting the conventional European novelistic structures, he explored uncharted territories in Bengali literature. Majumdar was also known for his challenging texts, including a 250-page sentence in his novel 'Suhasini's Pomatum', making him one of the most complex authors in Bengali literature.
