Kamalendu Deb Krori, born on January 21, 1930, is an Indian theoretical physicist and former principal of Cotton College. He is known for pioneering research on general relativity in Northeast India, supervising 16 PhD theses and publishing around 150 research papers nationally and internationally. He is recognized for the 'Krori-Barua solution', which provided a general relativistic solution for a free charged fluid sphere in 1975. In 1982, he demonstrated with two students that neutrinos must have non-zero rest mass to be consistent with Einstein's theory of general relativity, a fact confirmed by experiments in 1998.
