Kamel Asaad (February 10, 1932 - July 25, 2010) was a prominent Lebanese politician who served as the President of the Lebanese Parliament for three non-consecutive terms, totaling 14 years and 9 months. Coming from a distinguished political family, he was first elected as a deputy in 1953 and re-elected for five terms. He held several ministerial positions in the 1960s and played a significant role in supporting Bachir Gemayel's presidency. Asaad's political influence waned after the Lebanese Civil War, leading to electoral defeats in the 1990s, and he passed away in 2010 after a long illness.
