Kanika Banerjee (October 12, 1924 – April 5, 2000) was a renowned Indian Bengali Rabindrasangeet artist and educator. A celebrated figure in Rabindrasangeet, she is considered one of the greatest singers in the genre, particularly known for her unmatched skills in the Tappa style. Besides Rabindrasangeet, she was also skilled in the music of Atulprasad. Though she spent most of her life in Santiniketan, her popularity transcended the borders of West Bengal to reach Bangladesh as well. In her honor, a beautiful garden has been established between Victoria Memorial and Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata.
