Kantaro Tomiyama is the chairman of Tomy Company, a major Japanese toy and children's merchandise company. Born on January 22, 1954, in Tokyo, Japan, he is the grandson of the company's founder, Eiichiro Tomiyama. Tomiyama joined the family business in 1982 after completing his studies at the University of Hull in the UK and became president in 1986. He held the position until he was succeeded by Harold Meij in 2015.
