Jens Kåre Østerdal was a Norwegian cross-country skier and Nordic combined athlete born on December 2, 1917, in Nord-Rana. He competed for Mo Skilag and participated in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, finishing 32nd in the 18 km event and 12th in the Nordic combined. Østerdal achieved his best Norwegian Championship result with a 5th place in 1949 and secured a 7th place at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1951. He passed away on November 21, 1973, in Rana.
