Kåre Valebrokk was a Norwegian journalist and television executive, best known for his role as editor-in-chief and administrative director of TV 2 from 1999 until 2007. He began his media career at Morgenbladet and later worked at Verdens Gang. Valebrokk was also the editor-in-chief of Dagens Næringsliv and served as CEO of Norges Handels- og Sjøfartstidende AS. After retirement, he wrote columns for Aftenposten and chaired the Bergen Art Museum. He was the father of economist Per Valebrokk and passed away in his sleep at age 72.
