He chose a spiritual path at 17, but his significant spiritual experience occurred after his arrest on November 17, 1939, during his studies in economics, while imprisoned in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. After the war, he married in 1945 and became a beloved high school professor, first in Zlín and later in Plzeň, where he passed away on October 24, 1993.
