Karel Řehka is a Czech soldier born on February 1, 1975, in Tišnov. He holds the rank of Lieutenant General in the Czech Army and has been serving as the Chief of the General Staff since July 2022. From 2010 to 2014, he commanded the 601st Special Forces Group, later directed the Special Forces Directorate from 2014 to 2017, and was the deputy commander of the Multinational Division Northeast until 2020. After leaving the military, he led the National Cyber and Information Security Agency from March 2020 to June 2022.
