She was the youngest competitor at the 1976 Summer Olympics and an influential figure in Canadian gymnastics. Kelsall trained in the U.S. and was a national champion, representing Canada in various international competitions. She originated the Kelsall Stretch, a balance beam move. After her gymnastics career, she competed as an NCAA gymnast and transitioned to being a chiropractor, with additional certifications in massage therapy.
