Kari Seppo Johannes Mänty (born May 6, 1948, in Jurva) is a former head of sports at Yleisradio and was also the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Pohjalainen. He began his journalism career in 1970 at TV news and has served at Yleisradio since then, except for a period at the Finnish section of BBC World Service in London (1973-1974) and as editor-in-chief of Pohjalainen from 1996 to 2002, where he worked to maintain the newspaper's identity.
