Kari Pesonen was a Finnish musician, singer, and songwriter born on February 11, 1961, in Helsinki. He was best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Puolikuu, which started its activity in 1988. Prior to Puolikuu, he was the frontman of the pop band Just Divorced. Pesonen also collaborated in a duo with Ari Luokkala, performing both bands' classics and other pop songs. He wrote and composed for various artists in the Finnish music scene. He passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2019, at the age of 58.
