Kari Riipinen is a Finnish visual artist and photographer born on October 9, 1952, in Helsinki. He studied at the Taideteollinen korkeakoulu from 1974 to 1976 and has published music and poetry. Since 1977, Riipinen has designed hundreds of album covers for notable Finnish rock artists and also created posters, labels, advertisements, and book covers. His primary works are photographs, and he has held numerous exhibitions. Notable works include the 1984 album 'Itäistä pituutta' and a short film about Pelle Miljoona's trip to Berlin.
