Karima Baloch (1983 - 2020) was a prominent Pakistani Baloch activist who focused on women's rights and the welfare of the Baloch people. She was forced to leave Pakistan and settled in Canada. Tragically, she passed away in January 2020, with her body discovered in Lake Ontario near Toronto. Her death raised suspicions as many believed it to be an act of violence against her activism, but Canadian authorities stated they lacked evidence to confirm this. In 2016, she was recognized as one of the 100 most influential women in the world.
