Karl Almestål is a Swedish ski mountaineer and telemark skier, born on February 7, 1979, in Tibro, Sweden. He began telemark skiing in 1997 and entered competition ski mountaineering in 2006. Almestål is a member of the Hjo Velocipedklubb. He notably participated in the 2011 World Championship of Ski Mountaineering, where he was part of a team that included André Jonsson, Björn Gund, and Norwegian Olav Tronvoll, achieving a ninth place finish in the seniors' relay event.
