Karl Glazebrook is a British astronomer born in 1965, recognized for his research on the origins of the universe and his significant contributions to the development of the 'nod-and-shuffle' technique for redshift analysis. He is also the creator of the Perl Data Language (PDL), an extension for the Perl programming language. Glazebrook studied at the University of Cambridge and the University of Edinburgh, conducting research at Johns Hopkins University and Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He played a leading role in the Gemini Deep Deep Survey to measure the universe's evolution.
