Károly Bezdek is a Hungarian-Canadian mathematician born on May 28, 1955, in Budapest, Hungary. He serves as a Professor and Chair of Mathematics Research at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, where he is also the Director of the Centre for Computational and Discrete Geometry. Additionally, he holds a (sabbatical) professorship in mathematics at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém, Hungary. His primary research interests include geometry, specifically convex, combinatorial, and discrete geometry. Bezdek has authored two books and more than 120 research papers.
