Kasper Winding, born on June 21, 1956, in Copenhagen, is a Danish drummer, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and actor. He was married to Brigitte Nielsen from 1983 to 1984, and they have a son named Julian. He is also the older half-brother of film director Nicolas Winding Refn. Winding began his career as a professional drummer around 1970, playing with many renowned jazz and pop artists. At age 16, he co-founded the Danish Latin funk fusion group Buki Yamaz with his cousin Aske Benzon and has collaborated with various famous musicians.
