After studying stone sculpture and becoming a master student of Richard Scheibe, she created her notable monument honoring women who cleared rubble in Berlin's Hasenheide Park. Though she mainly worked on restorations at Charlottenburg Palace from 1956 to 1986, she only displayed a few pieces publicly until a solo exhibition at the Georg Kolbe Museum in 1987/88. Her body of work includes around 100 sculptures, predominantly of female forms, reflecting personal and biographical themes.
