Katsumasa Amada (March 15, 1906 – February 27, 1965) was a Japanese politician and a member of the House of Councillors, serving three terms. Born in what is now Kumagaya, he studied at the Tokyo School of Physics and became active in the Japan Popular Party. He played a role in post-war socialist movements, leading agricultural disputes and participating in the formation of the Japan Socialist Party. Amada was involved in the party's electoral strategies until his departure in 1959 to help establish the Democratic Socialist Party, where he held leadership roles. He passed away in office at 58.
