He is known as an 'Kamigata' rakugo performer and also works as a talent and host. Nankō III is from Chihaya Akasaki and resides in Shijonawate City. He has worked as an executive director at both the Beicho Office and Photolive Co., Ltd. His traditional musical accompaniment is 'Shōjō.' He was affectionately known as 'Bekachyan' during his time with Katsura Bekako.
