Katsutsugu Sekiya is a Japanese politician and member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, born on March 6, 1938, in Matsuyama, Ehime. He studied at Chuo University and Osaka University. Throughout his political career, he held several ministerial positions in the Japanese government. From 1976, he served in the House of Representatives for the Ehime 1 district, succeeding his father Katsutoshi. Sekiya has been an advocate for diplomatic relations between Japan and Micronesia and is also known as a prominent amateur radio enthusiast.
