John Olukayode Fayemi is a Nigerian politician and former governor of Ekiti State, serving from 2018 to 2022. He previously held the same office from 2010 to 2014 before losing to Ayodele Fayose. In addition, he served as the Minister of Solid Minerals Development in President Muhammadu Buhari's administration from November 11, 2015, to May 30, 2018. Following his resignation to seek re-election, he has also been recognized as the pioneer president of the Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF) since September 9, 2022.
