Kazuko Asō (May 13, 1915 - March 15, 1996) was a notable Japanese figure, the third daughter of Shigeru Yoshida, who served as Prime Minister of Japan from 1946 to 1947 and again from 1948 to 1954. She is also recognized as the mother of Taro Aso, who became Japan's 92nd Prime Minister. Kazuko was part of a prominent political family, closely linked to Japan's political landscape throughout the mid-20th century.
