Kazuomi Chiba, born on December 24, 1951, in Nerima, Tokyo, is a Japanese singer-songwriter and guitarist for the musical group Kaientai. Initially, he performed with Tatsuya Himeno in the amateur folk duo Lilac, which disbanded when Himeno joined the band Tulip. Later, Chiba joined Kaientai, which formed in 1971 and debuted in 1972, finding success with the song 'Okuru Kotoba,' famously known as the theme for the first season of '3-nen B-gumi Kinpachi Sensei.' He also participated in guest appearances across multiple seasons of the show.
