Kees Blom is a Dutch ecologist born in 1946. He served as a professor at Radboud University Nijmegen and held the position of rector magnificus from 2000 to 2007, making him the longest-serving rector with over seven years in the role. He succeeded Theo van Els and passed the position to Bas Kortmann. In 1997, he became a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.
