Keiichi Nonogami was a Japanese publisher and essayist, born on December 11, 1909, in Yamaguchi Prefecture. He was the son of a nobleman and was arrested in 1930 for his leftist sympathies, later dropping out of Waseda University in 1931. He established a secondhand bookstore, Bunpo-do, in 1931 and started publishing books in 1933. He was instrumental in publishing the first complete works of Kenji Miyazawa. He maintained relationships with prominent cultural figures and authored several works related to antique ceramics and prints.
