Keijo Parkkunen (1927–2020) was a self-taught Finnish amateur researcher and pseudo-scientist from Turku who denied the existence of ice ages in his 1984 book, 'Sadan vuoden harha-askel'. He argued that various geological formations attributed to ice ages were shaped by massive water flows from space. Critics found his arguments scientifically unsound, primarily based on outdated knowledge. Parkkunen conducted experiments with geological formations and attempted to demonstrate his theories by building a pyramid of ice blocks, which he claimed supported his views on glacial melting.
