Her real name was Keiko Yata, and she used the pen name Mure, derived from Muricho in Mitaka City. She was married to Shohei Yata, a literary critic and editor of 'Shinchō' and a researcher of Tatsuji Hori. Mure passed away at the age of 82 due to a stroke.
