Keith Hunter Jespersen is a Canadian-American serial killer born on April 6, 1955, who murdered at least eight women in the United States during the early 1990s. Known as the "Happy Face Killer," he drew smiling faces in his numerous letters to the media and authorities. Many of his victims were sex workers or transient women. Jespersen’s preferred method of killing was strangulation, which he also practiced on animals as a child. He currently serves a life sentence without parole at Oregon State Penitentiary.
