Keith Kelsall (1910-1996) was a British sociologist and professor at the University of Sheffield. He co-founded the British Sociological Association in 1951, serving as its president from 1977 to 1979. Kelsall studied history and political economy at the University of Glasgow and began his academic career as a lecturer at the University of Hull. During WWII, he worked in urban and regional planning. After the war, he conducted research at the London School of Economics and subsequently transformed the School of Social Studies at Sheffield, where he taught until 1975.
