Keith Terry is an influential American percussionist and rhythm dancer born on November 22, 1951, in Waxahachie, Texas. He is notably recognized for pioneering Body Music and serves as the ensemble director of Crosspulse, a non-profit organization focused on rhythm-based intercultural music and dance. Terry also founded the International Body Music Festival, which celebrates Body Music globally. His contributions to music education, especially within the Orff system, have been widely praised. In 2008, he received a Guggenheim Fellowship and later the 2018 PERCUACTION Lifetime Achievement Award.
