Alberta (Kek) Blaauw-Yzerdraat was a resistance courier in Alkmaar during World War II. She was born in Velsen on May 12, 1919, and was captured on May 22, 1944, with two revolvers. Alongside two Limburg KP members, she was later deported to several concentration camps, including Vught and Ravensbrück, before being sent to Dachau. She worked as a Kapo there until January 12, 1945, and was liberated by American forces on April 30, 1945.
