Kelly Renée Gissendaner was an American woman convicted of orchestrating the murder of her husband, Douglas Gissendaner. Born on March 8, 1968, she was executed by the state of Georgia on September 30, 2015. At the time of her husband's murder in 1997, Kelly was 28 years old. Following her conviction, she became the only woman on death row in Georgia until her execution.
