Ken Albiston was an Australian rules footballer born on November 11, 1926. He played for Richmond and Melbourne in the VFL, participating in six seasons with Richmond and later playing in the 1954 Grand Final loss to Footscray with Melbourne. Notably, he learned to kick with both feet during rehabilitation from a right foot injury, which was uncommon at the time. Albiston also served in the Royal Australian Air Force for seven months during the final year of World War II. He passed away on June 20, 2018.
