Ken Hosterman was a prominent soccer coach and athlete, best known for leading the Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team from 1953 to 1967. He secured two ISFA national championships in consecutive years (1954, 1955) and was honored as the Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association in 1955. Prior to his coaching career, Hosterman served as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and also played varsity soccer and baseball at Penn State University.
